The Orange Dot Award 2027 has officially announced its shortlist, recognizing outstanding products and solutions across pet nutrition and health, pet cleaning and care, and sustainable packaging.

The Orange Dot Award is an international award dedicated to identifying and recognizing products and solutions that contribute to the advancement of the global pet industry. Through a comprehensive evaluation process conducted by a professional jury panel, the award focuses on product development, functionality, design, user experience, sustainability, and industry impact.

By bringing together pet brands, professionals, experts, and industry representatives, the Orange Dot Award provides an international platform for showcasing products that respond to evolving market needs and contribute to a better future for pets and their owners.

The Orange Dot Award 2027 shortlist reflects several important directions shaping the pet industry today, including precision nutrition, condition-specific dietary management, plant-based household care, and sustainable packaging.

Pet Nutrition & Health

MAG Ultra-Concentrated Natural Fish Oil

MAG Ultra-Concentrated Natural Fish Oil has been shortlisted in the Pet Nutrition & Health category for its nutritional concentration, quality verification, and feeding convenience.

The product contains at least 95% Omega-3 and at least 90% EPA and DHA, and adopts an rTG technology. MAG is the first pet fish oil brand in China to receive a five-star IFOS certification and submits every product batch for testing. Individually sealed capsules also help reduce oxidation after opening and support stable and precise feeding.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of pet fish oil from basic supplementation toward high-purity, verifiable, and refined nutritional management.

MAG Joint Health Medical Care Edition

MAG Joint Health Medical Care Edition has been shortlisted for its multi-ingredient formula and systematic approach to pet joint care.

The product combines high-dose glucosamine, shark chondroitin, green-lipped mussel, and MSM to support joint lubrication, mobility, nutritional supplementation, and cartilage health. It has also been trusted by a police dog training base. In addition, a 60-day joint evaluation was conducted in cooperation with Nanjing Agricultural University, covering gait, flexibility, and weight-bearing performance.

MAG Concentrated Natural Lactoferrin

MAG Concentrated Natural Lactoferrin has been shortlisted for its high-potency lactoferrin formula and combined support for immune and intestinal health.

Each capsule contains 300 mg of lactoferrin. According to MAG’s submission materials, approximately 14 kilograms of raw milk is required to extract 1 gram of lactoferrin. The formula also contains five human-grade probiotic strains, including Saccharomyces boulardii, and is lactose-free, supporting sensitive pets and long-term feeding.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of pet nutrition from single immune supplementation towards coordinated immune and intestinal health management.

MAG Boulardii Yeast Probiotics

MAG Boulardii Yeast Probiotics has been shortlisted for its defined strain system, viable probiotic content, and full-cycle intestinal health approach.

The product uses the authorized Saccharomyces boulardii strain CNCM I-1079 from Lallemand, combined with four additional probiotic strains. It contains 21 billion CFU of viable probiotics per gram and 10 billion CFU of Saccharomyces boulardii microorganisms per capsule. Separate formulas for dogs and cats, together with bodyweight-based feeding guidance, support more precise long-term intestinal care.

Its shortlisting reflects the evolution of pet probiotics from short-term digestive support towards full-cycle intestinal health management.

Daily Vet — Daily Diabetic Complete Prescription Dog Food

Daily Vet’s Daily Diabetic Complete Prescription Dog Food has been shortlisted for its targeted nutritional approach to canine blood glucose management.

Designed for dogs with elevated blood glucose levels or diabetes, the product combines high protein, controlled starch, controlled total sugar, dietary fiber, and L-carnitine. The formula is designed around the nutritional requirements associated with a specific health condition, providing dietary support for blood glucose management and long-term health maintenance.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of pet food from general daily feeding toward condition-specific nutritional management and professional prescription diets.

VONEOS — Feline Urinary Complete Prescription Diet

VONEOS Feline Urinary Complete Prescription Diet has been shortlisted for its systematic approach to feline urinary health and reducing struvite recurrence.

The product combines low-allergen animal proteins, urinary-support botanical ingredients, precise mineral management, and gut–kidney nutritional support. It was also evaluated through a five-week controlled study, in which the prescription diet group showed improvements in urinary pH, urinary crystal levels, and related lower urinary tract symptoms.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of condition-specific pet nutrition toward precision formulation, experimental validation, and systematic health management.

CUTEPOL ShuiXiangHua Cloud-Soft Cassava Cat Litter has been shortlisted for its plant-based formula and comprehensive approach to household litter-box care.

The product uses cassava-based materials and integrates dust control, odor management, absorption, clumping performance, and daily cleaning convenience. By extending beyond basic absorption and waste removal, the product places greater emphasis on household cleanliness and the everyday experience of both cats and pet owners.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of cat litter toward low-dust, plant-based formulas and integrated household care.

Cheer Share 3 Non-Stick Tapioca Plant-Based Cat Litter has been shortlisted for improving litter-box cleaning convenience and household cleanliness.

Made with tapioca, corn starch, and other plant-based ingredients, the product combines quick absorption, baking soda deodorization, and easy scooping. Its “3 Non-Stick” design helps reduce litter sticking to the bottom and sides of the litter box and to the litter scoop, addressing common difficulties in daily litter-box cleaning.

Its shortlisting reflects the development of cat litter toward plant-based materials, efficient cleaning, odor management, and improved user experience.

Packaging Design

Zhantong — Single-Material, Eco-Friendly, Recyclable Food Packaging Bags

Zhantong’s Single-Material, Eco-Friendly, Recyclable Food Packaging Bags have been shortlisted for their material structure, food safety, and sustainability.

The packaging uses a mono-material structure made from 100% polyethylene. While maintaining food-grade safety and barrier performance, the design reduces the need for complex material separation during recycling compared with traditional multi-layer composite packaging.

Its shortlisting reflects the pet industry’s growing focus on recyclable materials, mono-material packaging, and environmentally responsible packaging solutions.
