The PTA (Parent Teacher Alliance), under the expert guidance of Rachel Greenman Harow, aims to promote cooperation between parents, teachers, and administration to enhance the school experience for students.

Rachel Greenman Harow has been a significant driving force behind the scenes at the Katz Hillel Day School of Boca Raton, the largest Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School in Palm Beach County with a dual curriculum that includes general studies & Judaic studies. Now, as president of the PTA for the fourth consecutive year, together with other officers and board members, she is ready to take on the new challenges and work for the school’s prosperity. This year, she said her role would involve handling more fundraising efforts, offering more events/programs, and promoting volunteerism to create a well-rounded environment in which students can thrive.

PTA is committed to fusing the best of both worlds — parents and supporters dedicated to the children’s education and teachers who know the students inside and out. Through PTA, they’ll be able to create an ecosystem that maximizes productivity and investment in children’s future, thus creating a better future for everyone involved. The PTA uses a variety of united efforts from parents and teachers to improve school experiences for students and helping the children learn in a positive environment. The PTA is sustained by generous supporters who want to offer assistance, bonuses, and conveniences to everyone involved in the education of this school.

The PTA Board and officers have already released a list of events and programs on its official website in which the parents and volunteers can take part. Each initiative is led by a different chairperson and the scheduled every month. The Guardian of Learning (GOL) Society is PTA’s most lucrative annual fundraiser, and as always, the support is appreciated and ensures future PTA programming. The donors can contribute a tax-deductible contribution of $360 by heading on the official page of PTA and get features on the list of GOL for the year 2021. For the convenience of the prospective GOL, the PTA offers different payment methods.

PTA helps people contribute to the school in meaningful ways. While they encourage parents to volunteer their time and effort, they also know that everyone’s financial situation is unique. Therefore, parents should understand that PTA mostly requires no additional cash outlay from them. On the contrary, there are a number of ways to help the school financially while also saving money in the process. With a few simple adjustments to their regular spending, parents can support the school, such as shopping from Amazon Smile and adding KHDS as the charity choice, buying at Carvel or Box Top items, and more. For each purchase, the organizations will donate a different percentage to the school.

PTA also offers advertising opportunities and Good & Welfare cards to commemorate all lifecycle events during the holidays. Supporters can also initiate a new project with PTA by attending the PTA board meetings held each month. Everyone, including parents and grandparents, are highly encouraged to attend.
