GTG Big $mash is the aspiring new rapper to look out for, who may only be 18 but his musical talent is way beyond its time. He surely does not sound like a new rapper, with his flows and confidence shown in every song. He hails from the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Although he has been making music for less than a year seriously, he already amassed over 300,000 streams on Spotify and over 1.7 million while building a nice fan following on Soundcloud.

$mash started producing and recording music from the age of 10 but since no one would rap over his beats, he decided to write and record the lyrics too. Over the years, he worked persistently to master his craft and finally started making music more seriously his junior year in high school. Talking about his passion for music, $mash said, “I was inspired to create music because it was always a part of my life from an early age. My family was always musically inclined, and it rubbed off on me I guess. UGK, Three Six Mafia, Denzel Curry, ASAP Rocky, Nas, Joey Badass, and others were a huge inspiration on me at an early age.”

With all the singles and EPs, he has released so far, $mash has shown great potential. What makes him stand out from the rest is his ability to change flows at the drop of a hat, and that he can come up with clever and witty wordplay. You truly can’t compare him to anyone, as he has a sort of style and voice. However, if needed, he can be quite melodic. He likes to make songs that turn up the energy, with some songs inspired by his life events that molded his personality. $mash is a diamond in the rough and it’s only a matter of time before the world knows.

“I want to convey a different range of emotions with my music. Everyone goes through different emotions at different times, and I try to convey that through my music. Whether I’m feeling sad, happy, angry I try to convey that in my songs”, $mash adds further.
